First dedicated public congressional UFO hearing in more than fifty years
US House of Representatives, Washington, D.C.
Witness account
A House Intelligence subcommittee held a public hearing with Under Secretary of Defense Ronald Moultrie and Deputy Director of Naval Intelligence Scott Bray, followed by a closed session. The hearing brought official UAP collection, flight safety and unresolved observations before the public. It should be distinguished from the later July 2023 hearing featuring Fravor, Graves and Grusch.
Public record
The official calendar, public video and transcript establish the testimony. Officials discussed an expanded database and showed examples of the analytical difficulty posed by short or ambiguous recordings. A night-vision sequence with triangular-looking lights was explained through ordinary drone activity and camera optics; another brief image remained insufficiently informative for identification.
