AOIMSG announced as successor arrangement to UAPTF
US Department of Defense
Witness account
Deputy Secretary of Defense Kathleen Hicks directed creation of the Airborne Object Identification and Management Synchronization Group, or AOIMSG, in coordination with the Director of National Intelligence. The announced structure was intended to synchronize work on unidentified airborne objects, with particular attention to special-use airspace, and to succeed the existing UAP Task Force arrangement.
Public record
The DoD announcement describes the organizational directive and an associated executive council. It establishes an intended administrative structure, not evidence that all staffing, reporting and operational processes became fully mature on the announcement date. Subsequent legislation and the establishment of AARO altered the architecture again.
