Giovanna Podda: alleged abductions and hybrid foetuses on television

In the opening episode of the Italian television programme Mistero, Giovanna Podda described repeated alien abductions and alleged pregnancies producing hybrid offspring. Photographs presented as showing an alien foetus became a focal point of the publicity. July 1 is the date of the public television claim; it should not be assigned as the occurrence date of all the experiences she described.
Public record
Contemporary responses survive from Massimo Polidoro and from UFO researcher Roberto Pinotti, who was also highly critical of the presentation. They compared the photographed remains with a skinned rabbit or hare. This is an image-based identification argument, not a published laboratory examination of a securely documented recovered specimen.
