Witness account

Garry Wood and Colin Wright described encountering an unusual object while travelling along Scotland’s A70 in August 1992. Their story involved an apparent interruption to the journey and missing time; later investigation and hypnosis supplied a more detailed abduction narrative. The case is often assigned an exact day without acknowledging that published sources disagree.

Public record

BEAMS reproduces press coverage and identifies a 19 November 1995 Sunday Express interview as giving 17 August 1992. Scottish investigator Brian Allan’s retrospective uses 27 August. These sources establish the conflict without resolving it. The initial roadside observation and the later hypnotic reconstruction also need to remain separate stages of the account.
