Witness account

Las Vegas television station KLAS broadcast an interview on 15 May 1989 with a man using the name Dennis, later publicly identified as Bob Lazar. He alleged that he had worked near the Nevada test ranges on recovered flying discs and their propulsion. Later named interviews expanded the story and helped associate Area 51 and the claimed S-4 site with alien technology.

Public record

The originating broadcaster’s retrospective identifies the date of the first televised interview and preserves the media history. That is evidence that the claims were aired, not independent verification of the alleged employment, recovered vehicles, briefing documents or propulsion system. Those assertions require separately authenticated records and physical evidence.
