Witness account
Police constable Alan Godfrey said that, while checking a report of loose cattle, he encountered a large, unusual object over Burnley Road in Todmorden. He described trying unsuccessfully to use his radio, making a sketch, and then finding himself farther along the road with an apparent gap in time. Later hypnosis produced a more elaborate account involving occupants and an examination.
