Witness account

Schoolchildren said they saw an elongated object in a field beyond their playground, and some described a silver-clad figure. The report became the best-known episode of the so-called Welsh Triangle. Other 1977 school reports and the later Rosa Granville account at Little Haven are separate events, not additional simultaneous witnesses at Broad Haven.

Public record

Researcher David Clarke examined the school diary and drawings. The diary records interviews with fifteen children on 7 February, three days after the 4 February event. The children therefore had a weekend in which to talk before the drawings were collected. This corrects the frequent assertion that identical drawings were immediately obtained in complete isolation.
