Witness account

Several northern military installations reported unusual lights, apparent low-flying vehicles or unidentified helicopters during the autumn of 1975. The records concern different nights and locations, including Loring in Maine, Wurtsmith in Michigan, Malmstrom in Montana, Minot in North Dakota and Falconbridge in Ontario. Wurtsmith should not be misplaced in New Hampshire.

Public record

Released messages document security concern and local responses. Their language often includes helicopter-like descriptions rather than a confident identification of unconventional craft. Multiple records are valuable, but they do not show that one vehicle visited every installation or that all reports shared a common physical cause. Some famous public accounts appeared in 1979, several years after the internal reporting.
