Witness account

While harvesting rapeseed, farmer Edwin Fuhr reported five metallic-looking, spinning objects near a slough. He said they departed, after which circular patches of flattened grass were found. This event occurred on 1 September 1974, not in 1967, a date occasionally attached in broad case lists or memory-based summaries.

Public record

Canadian archival catalogue material identifies the September 1974 report. Contemporary newspaper items and later reproduced accounts describe police inspection of the rings. Constable Ron Morier examined the site but did not independently witness the objects; his observations cannot be counted as an additional visual encounter with five craft. The reported grass was flattened rather than demonstrated to have been burned.
