Witness account

During a nighttime return flight, the helicopter crew described an approaching light or object, a green illumination and an unexpected climb. Commander Lawrence Coyne said the aircraft rose despite his control inputs. The mature account is sometimes presented as measured antigravity, although the surviving record consists principally of crew testimony, operational reporting and later reconstruction.

Public record

Zeidman’s substantial 1979 report reproduces early documents and compares crew accounts with a family’s ground observations found during later investigation. Those ground witnesses were not all interviewed in 1973, and their later statements should carry their collection dates. A crew of four is significant, but the occupants shared a moving platform and an unfolding interpretation.
