Witness account
The Reed family later described an unusual experience during a drive near Sheffield, assigned to 1 September 1969. Subsequent accounts from other Berkshire residents, media productions and a memorial created a collective narrative of sightings and abductions across the area. Shared retrospective event dates do not by themselves establish that all these recollections were independently documented in 1969.
