Donald Shrum’s Cisco Grove “bow and arrow” encounter
Loch Leven / Cisco Grove area, California

Witness account
Shrum, separated from companions on a bow-hunting trip, said he spent the night in a tree while humanoid figures and robot-like entities approached. He described firing arrows and being affected by vapor before finding himself alone by morning. Early public accounts withheld his identity, and the case later became known as the Cisco Grove bow-and-arrow incident.
Public record
Later investigators collected interviews, correspondence and claims concerning arrowheads. The accessible source-based history traces the case through private contacts and NICAP, but it does not supply a securely dated original eyewitness statement for the night itself.
