Joe Simonton and the alleged visitors’ pancakes
Eagle River, Wisconsin

Witness account
Simonton said a craft appeared by his home and three human-looking occupants communicated by gestures. According to his account, he supplied water and received small pancake-like food items before the craft departed. A local judge helped bring the story and specimens to investigators, making it an unusual contact claim with actual material available for examination.
Public record
A substantial contemporary NICAP dossier preserves letters, inquiries, clippings and investigator reactions. Laboratory descriptions reported common food constituents and normal radiation or bacteriological findings. The existence of the cakes is better established than their alleged source.
