Witness account

A contemporary newspaper reported that Mme Dore, alerted by her chickens, looked up and noticed unusual objects. Relatives and neighbors described objects moving in pairs, glittering in sunlight, with a long whitish cylinder among them. White filaments reportedly descended and remained on branches and electrical wires before becoming gelatinous or disappearing.

Public record

Le Méridional’s 29 October account places the observation on Monday, 27 October, and names witnesses. It explicitly compares their experience with the already publicized Oloron reports. That establishes contemporary reporting and a possible channel of descriptive influence, without proving that the witnesses copied a story.
