Witness account

Prigent and other observers reported an elongated object and numerous bright or colored spheres, with white filaments falling and catching on roofs and wires. Later UFO literature grouped the material under the name angel hair. Reports of paired motion and apparent connections between the objects and threads became central to the case.

Public record

Contemporary press material exists, together with a local doctor’s letter dated 27 November 1952. The letter records interviews on 22 October and describes an explanation involving migrating spiders, airborne silk and sunlight. It also discusses another local appearance on 28 October, which the writer regarded as supporting that explanation.
