Witness account
An FBI memorandum relayed an informant’s account of three recovered saucers in New Mexico and small bodies. The existence of the memo is authentic, but its content is a reported allegation. It does not identify a 1947 Roswell recovery, and its March 1950 date is the date of the document, not a verified crash date.

The FBI preserves the page and has published an explanation of its provenance. The Bureau states that it did not investigate the claim.
