1933 alleged event; anonymous documents surfaced from 1996 and public presentation followed in 2000 / T025
The alleged 1933 Italian crash and Gabinetto RS/33
Magenta/Vergiate area, Lombardy, in the claim
Witness account
Modern proponents allege that a craft was recovered in Lombardy in 1933 and investigated by a secret Fascist-era group, Gabinetto RS/33. They associate the purported operation with Mussolini and Marconi and suggest later storage at an aviation facility. This is a retrospective claim: the materials became known through anonymous mail many decades after the alleged event.
Public record
Pinotti's own published account says materials began arriving in 1996 and describes the 2000 presentation. It gives April 11, 1933 in one paragraph and June 13, 1933 in another. Critical historical reporting notes the absent public-archive provenance and disputed forensic claims. Authentic government files concerning suspicious foreign aircraft do not, by themselves, authenticate this separate dossier.
