Witness account

Ezekiel 1 describes a luminous storm cloud, living creatures, wheels, and a divine throne. The text locates the vision in the fifth year of King Jehoiachin's exile, conventionally 593/592 BCE. Twentieth-century ancient-astronaut writers later treated the imagery as a description of machinery. That reinterpretation belongs in UFO cultural history; it does not convert the biblical passage into a contemporary aircraft incident report.

Public record

The evidence is a religious text transmitted through manuscripts and translations. Biblical scholarship places its imagery alongside ancient Near Eastern divine thrones, cherubim, and prophetic visions. The internal date concerns the narrated experience, not the production date of a surviving physical document. No engineering drawing, recovered vehicle, or independent observation accompanies this passage.
